Description

Sialon thermocouple protection tubes have superior non-wetting properties over syalon, Si3N4 or silicon nitride.

We manufacture a full range of silicon nitride and sialon advanced ceramic thermocouple protection tubes sheaths for use in the molten aluminium and non-ferrous industry.

Sialon, very differently from slibcasted syalon, thermocouple protection tubes sheaths are an advanced ceramic tube offering outstanding performance for temperature control in aluminium foundries and smelters and are extremely cost effective compared to other materials, such as cast iron, silicon carbide and alumina.

Sialons are alloys of silicon nitride and possess a unique combination of physical properties, such as high strength, toughness, excellent thermal shock resistance and resistance to corrosion, which make it the perfect material in this application.

We have two standard diameters sialon thermocouple tubes sheaths in stock in lengths varying from 150 mm up to 1,500 mm. Tooling cost may apply. Stock items have a standard groove.

Gas-tight stainless steel adapters are specially suitable for the thermocouple protection tubes sheaths. Test our new valve adapter for low-pressure die casting machines.
