PrimeLab™ provides three unique modes of measurement, bath chemistry, bath superheat or bath temperature in one complete measurement system designed specifically for use in liquid cryolite aluminium smelting applications.

PrimeLab™ Measurement Principle.

The intensity of light travelling through an optical fibre from a light source such as a molten bath is filtered over a specific wavelength and converted to a temperature value (assuming black body conditions) according to Planck’s Law as shown in the graph above.
