We offer a wide range of silicon nitride and sialon advanced ceramic thermocouple protection sheaths tubes for use in the aluminium and molten metal handling industries. They are an advanced ceramic tube offering outstanding performance for temperature control up to 1800 degrees Celsius in aluminium foundries and smelters and are extremely cost effective compared to competitive materials, such as cast iron, silicon carbide and alumina.

Sialons are alloys of silicon nitride and possess a unique combination of physical properties, such as high strength, toughness, excellent thermal shock resistance and resistance to corrosion, which make it the preferred material in this application.

Sialon, Silicon Nitride protection tubes are well known for their outstanding performance in contact with non-ferrous molten metals, particularly aluminium and its alloys and zinc. In addition to its excellent physical properties, our Sialon grades are also non-wetting to most non-ferrous alloys, making it resistant to build up of dross and is therefore very low maintenance.

For high temperature applications above 1200°C, Sialon ES700 is the preferred choice. Again, offering outstanding physical properties, Sialon can be used be at temperatures up to 1800°C. (In a controlled atmosphere).

Sialon thermocouple sheaths are available in a range of standard sizes, these are usually available within 2 weeks.

We manufacture a full range of silicon nitride and sialon advanced ceramic thermocouple protection tubes sheaths for use in the molten aluminium and non-ferrous industry.

Sialon, very differently from slibcasted syalon, thermocouple protection tubes sheaths are an advanced ceramic tube offering outstanding performance for temperature control in aluminium foundries and smelters and are extremely cost effective compared to other materials, such as cast iron, silicon carbide and alumina.

We have two standard diameters sialon thermocouple tubes sheaths in stock in lengths varying from 150 mm up to 1,500 mm. Tooling cost may apply. Stock items have a standard groove.

Gas-tight stainless steel adapters are specially suitable for the thermocouple protection tubes sheaths. Test our new valve adapter for low-pressure die casting machines.
